The PM’s visit to Falaba District
On Thursday, 4 March 2020, the Project Manager together with the Senior Civil Works Engineer, Assistant Civil Works Supervisor-North and M&E Offcer-North paid a working visit to Gberia Timbako in Sulima Chiefdom, and Bendugu in Mongo Chiefdom.
The objectives of the mission were as follows:

  1. Handing over of contractor to MAF Falaba District and stakeholders for the construction of BES Office and staff Quarters in Gberia Timbako.
  2. Inspection of site for the construction of MAF Falaba District office at Bendugu
Gberia Timbako is located some 30 miles from Kabala. It is a rural community known as a major hub for rice production in the 70s and 80s. During the civil war, the community lost its glory as a major rice production belt. With the advent of AVDP, one would have no doubt that G. Timbako will regain its lost glory in the shortest possible time. The AVDP Manager reassures the community of the Project’s support to revamp the livelihood potentials of farmers in the chiefdom.

5th March 2021, the Project Manager together with the project Snr. Civil Works Officer and other staff paid a visit to Kamakwie in order to see and brief the president-His Excellency Julius Maada Bio about the project recent support to MAF. But it’s rather unfortunate the president presence was not felt. However, the Contractors are tirelessly working to meet the accomplishment date.
