It’s yet another season of joy and abundance as IVS rice harvesting continues across our supported communities — over 4,000 hectares cultivated. In every new harvest, our fields reflect more than just crops — they show the resilience, unity, and dedication of our farmers to make Sierra Leone food self sufficience.
In Foindu community, Kenema District, our Project Manager, Madam Monica Kwame-Greene joined farmers for a symbolic harvest on a thriving and well developed 20-hectare IVS site — a shining example of how dedication, especially from women and youth, is transforming rural livelihoods. 
With support from the Government of Sierra Leone, IFAD, the Adaptation Fund, and OFID, the AVDP continues to empower communities and strengthen food security across the nation.
