This isn’t just a story about Inland Valley Swamp (IVS) development; it’s about a family rewriting their future. With the help of AVDP IVS development, Goba’s IVS Association has moved beyond seasonal struggles to consistent triple cropping.

The results are life-changing: their first harvest was more than enough to invest in land worth sixty thousand leones. (NLE 60,000) for the construction of a grain store.

​But the impact goes deeper. His son, a recent graduate, shares how these fields paid for his degree. Today, he doesn’t see the farm as a fallback, but as a dignified business and a bridge to his future. His message to other young people is simple: don’t wait on the streets for an opportunity when you can grow one in the soil. ​True sustainability happens when we empower the whole family. AVDP is proving that when you give a farmer the right tools, you nourish an entire generation.
